Election Central?

I have already voted. I registered to vote by mail many years ago. I was terribly disappointed when they stopped putting the "I Voted" stickers in the mail- in ballots. And I've often wondered if this was a cost cutting measure or a 'lets keep everyone honest' measure- I mean, how many of us would wear the sticker without putting the stamp on the ballot and mailing it in? (It has reduced me to stopping at a polling place on my way to work and begging for one. Last time it was at my grand daughter's school- and I was there to volunteer - so they gladly coughed one up for me.) This year, I sent in my registration early to volunteer on Election Day. I have done this twice before in 1992 and 1996 - and I remember the long, tense, exciting nights at 'Election Central" in San Diego. But I have not heard back from the Voter Registrar's office. I have the day off, I have comfy shoes, I know how to point and count and 'go-fer'. Call me! I voted! I want a sticker!
